3D spatial visualization design

CEREUS is supported by SPAT GRIS software for sound spatialization.. The GRIS (Groupe de recherche en immersion spatiale-Research Group in Spatial Immersion) was founded in (2009) by Dr. Robert Normandeau in order to create tools for sound spatialization in a multichannel format. The group consists of composers and programmers grouped around the Faculté de musique at Université de Montréal. https://gris.musique.umontreal.ca/#articles

The Visualization Studio is a space providing students and faculty at Concordia University with new, immersive ways to explore, create, and communicate. The studio features a touch-capable high-resolution display wall, and a spatial audio system,
Juliana is a Professor, Concordia Univeristy, Faculty of FIne Arts, Studio Arts Program. and has been utilizing the 27-speaker immersive 'SPAT' audio system using SPAT Revolution, Reaper and Total Mix for audio-mixing new audio-visual artworks and spatial environments being created for future projects with CEREUS..
The Visual Design Studio is led by David Somiah Clark.
CEREUS has recently worked in the Visual Design Studios, Webster Library Building of Concordia University to create new immersive sensory artwork with the aid of AI tools, Touch Designer software using Azure Kinect, Spat Gris. Ableton Live to create an immersive interactive design installation in combination with sensory plant intelligence language.
We are exploring conceptually how AI can unlock new forms of interaction between humans-machines-non-humans. We use AI to analyse human dance movement with plant sounds, then generate movement-based interfaces. AI does not presuppose our common preconceptions about what a body should do when it interacts with a computer. Instead, it creates something unpredictable by trying to make full use of the full range of movement of the body, such as a dancer.
This interactive installation was funded by a CUPFA grant for professional development from the Concordia University Part-Time Faculty Association (2025).
